ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

SPECIALIZED TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

The Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Programs (STAP) https://www.hhs.texas.gov/services/disability/deaf-hard-hearing/stap-services provides financial assistance to help Texas residents with disabilities purchase basic specialized equipment or services needed to access the telephone network. This program is open to all individuals who are residents of Texas and have a disability.

The Lifeline program is designed to help qualified low-income individuals pay the monthly cost of basic telephone service. You can apply for Lifeline Discounts by calling 1-866-454-8387 toll free, visiting the website at https://www.texaslifeline.org/, or downloading the application below.
